Ron Sugar is a Senior Advisor at Council Advisors, where he applies decades of cross-industry expertise to helping high-level corporate clients with leadership and governance strategies.
Before coming to Council Advisors, Ron was the Chairman and CEO of Northrop Grumman, and held senior operational, technical, and financial roles at TRW Inc. and Litton Industries. He is actively involved on the boards of Apple Inc., Chevron Corporation, Amgen Inc., and Air Lease Corporation; and he is a senior advisor to Ares Management LLC, Bain & Co., and Singapore ‘s Temasek sovereign wealth fund.
Ron is also deeply invested in education, serving as a trustee at the University of Southern California; an advisor at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management; a director at both the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association and the Alliance College-Ready Public Schools; and a national trustee of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
