Brian Scanlon is Managing Director at Council Advisors, where he leads strategic and operational advisory for clients, enhancing the speed and quality of their performance and execution.
Prior to joining Council Advisors, Brian was a leader of the Technology, Private Equity, and Corporate Finance practices at McKinsey & Company, specializing in the insurance and financial services industries. He also previously held the positions of Chief Corporate Development Officer and President of the Group Benefits Business at Guardian Life Insurance.
During his time at Thomson Reuters, Brian led Strategy, M&A, and Marketing, notably guiding the sale of their Financial & Risk business to Blackstone for $20 billion, which is now called Refinitiv.
