Elana Brickner

Elana Brickner is the Chief People Officer at Council Advisors, where she leads the firm’s global people strategy, working with leadership to align talent, organization, and performance.

Elana brings more than 20 years of experience leading people and organizational transformation in high-growth and public company environments. Most recently, she served as Chief People Officer at Payoneer, where she led the global HR and workplace function for a complex, Nasdaq-listed organization. Earlier in her career, Elana held senior HR leadership and related roles at Lyft, Via, Boxed and Viacom. She began her career as an HR lawyer specializing in executive compensation and employee benefits at Clifford Chance.

Elana serves on the boards of Chess in the Schools and Bottomless Closet, New York City-based nonprofits focused on expanding educational opportunities and supporting workforce readiness. She is also a frequent speaker at conferences and graduate university programs on leadership, talent, and organizational transformation. She holds a JD from Georgetown University Law Center, an MBA from The Wharton School, and a BS from The Pennsylvania State University.
